Family Pictures

We had family pictures done at the Heber High School on Robyn's birthday. They have a fundraiser where a guy comes and does pictures and it's only $10 for an 11 X 14. The others are extra. Well, we did the 11 X 14 but I won't have those til late December, so here are some pictures of my family waiting...

Aren't my guys HANDSOME!?!

Robyn's Birthday

Robynson's birthday cake (from Walmart!)

My baby is one. I am sad but excited. I can't wait until she can walk (better) but that scares me too. I can't wait until her hair is longer so that we can use the cute hair things that I have bought. But I am sad. My baby is one. She toddles all over my house. She likes to feed herself. She has a LOUD scream. She's big. And probably my last baby... And I am sad.

But, she is beautiful and healthy and happy and great. I've got to stay home with her for her whole little life. I've got to watch her grow and change and do new exciting things. I didn't get to stay home with the boys and I was never really been sad about it (because we have had some of the BEST sitters in the world) but this last year, I sort of was. But, I did what I felt was right at the time.

OK, so enough of my feeling sorry for myself (because my baby is ONE!) - I know you want to see some adorable pictures. :) We had 2 little parties (well, really, just cake and ice cream) for her. One with Jeremiah's family (and extended family) on Thanksgiving and one with my family and the Smith and Bolinder families. I'm just going to show pictures of Robyn with cake, though... Thanks to everyone who gave her presents!

Christmas Party #1 - DONE.

The Bagley Family (my mom's family) Christmas Party was this weekend. Yesterday, actually. We did it early to avoid the rush in December. Works for me! :) Here are some pictures and things (some didn't turn out too great and I haven't edited them yet...)

***************************

Archer LOVES Thomas the Train. I told everyone that he loves trains. He got 2 train sets (one was Thomas and came with a mini DVD of Thomas) that were wrapped in Thomas wrapping paper. The kid couldn't be happier. :)

DarTanion got a cool Robot, a homemade Bow and Arrow set, a homemade Marshmellow Gun and a tractor / trailer set. He was stoked!

Robynson got a cute stuffed Frog, a piano / phone musical toy, some books, a turtle shape sorter, and a cute outfit. :) She liked to crawl on the present!!! :)

And here are a couple extra pictures for your enjoyment. :)

My Twilight Review and Jedd's Wedding

Since I know that you people probably don't care too much that I went to Jedd's wedding or that I saw Twilight (twice) on Friday, I'm going to post it on my other blog... :) If you are interested, go to: http://itonlymatterstomandy.blogspot.com

YAY for Modern Medicine!!! and Prayers!!!

So I have GREAT news on the Family Front... These are updates on an old post of mine... I don't know how to link them, so sorry. If you want backstory, look in my archives.

SEAN (my little sister's husband)
Sean finished his chemo and radiation treatments at the end of October. They did some tests and took some biopsies. He had his doctors appointment today, and the doctors say it's a miracle. :) They are not seeing any traces of cancer left in him. I can not TELL you how completely wonderful and amazing that is. He was in "stage 4" - which is about as bad as it gets. And now they don't see any left in him. They are still going to do some tests at the end of this month and possibly cut out the areas that were most damaged / affected by the cancer, but from what they can tell he is CANCER FREE.
Amazing.

and then, there is Twitch...

TWITCH (my father in law)
Twitch has been in and out of the hospital for over a month now. They gave him all sorts of medicines, which seemed to be working. Finally he was cleared to work (which is a BIG deal to him - the man doesn't like to sit still...) He went to work on Monday and Tuesday and then his leg became swollen again. He went to the Emergency Room because he had a huge blister looking thing on his leg. Well, the blood and infection was getting stopped in there at a point in his leg, so they admitted him into the hospital. He was there til Friday afternoon. But while he was in the hospital this time, they were able to cut out the blister (and hopefully all the infection). He had a huge hole in his leg, but less pain than he's had in over a month. He's on the road to recovery as well...

SO,
I am here to say that I am so truely grateful for modern medicine and advancements in treatments and for kind doctors and nurses and mostly for the power of prayer. Every night since we found out about Sean, we ask for blessings for him in our prayers. The kids do too. And since Twitch has been ill, we have been praying for him. We are SO grateful and happy and feel so blessed right now!!! :) :) :) Yay!!!

I thought you would all like to know, since you totally love us. :)

2 inches of water...

Imagine you are me... checking your emails. JUST your emails. Not even blogging or surfing blogs. Just checking emails. You go in the bathroom cuz your 2 boys wanted to get in the tub. No big deal. They are usually really good in the tub. They had poured a little water on the bathroom rug. I told them not to do that because it is making the floor rot. I take the bath mat / rug out of the room and come back in to reply to one email. Just one. I hear Archer starting to cry.

Picture from a few days ago...

I walk in to my bathroom to see what the boys are doing and the floor is covered with the water which was in the tub 2 maybe 3 minutes before. The water went over my feet. I'm guessing it was probably 2 to 3 inches. The ENTIRE bathroom is flooded.

I ordered both kids to get out of the tub IMMEDIATELY!!!! and I started throwing down every single towel we own. (BTW: I just finished every drop of laundry we had yesterday. And now, I have 2 full loads of towels and some bathroom rugs and the clothes that we wore yesterday. GRR!) I am soaking towel after towel. I have to go grab the mop from our laundry room and try it. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to get my bathroom sort of dry. And then I remember our basement. CRAP.

I go down into the basement and the rooms under the bathroom are now wet. The ceiling (which really isn't there at the moment) is pouring water in some places and dripping in other. FUN! So I run upstairs, grab my backup comforter and run downstairs. I try to clean up the water with the comforter because I have NO towels. I start moving everything out of the way - luckily our basement is completely UNFINISHED and I was just storing things down there. But I have a toybox that now has water in the bottom and I have boxes of things that I am going to have to transplant into other boxes because if I try to pick up the existing boxes, they will give out and I'll drop everything.

ANYWAY, yes. I wanted to kill my boys. Robyn was sleeping during this. It was almost time for DarTanion's class to start. I went into the kitchen, poured a bowl of cereal for both boys and went back downstairs to move things. I told them not to talk and not to move from their chairs. I was trying REALLY HARD not to yell and cuss and destroy my boys. I called Jeremiah and he came home to help. We were able to get everything cleaned up, but there are still things that I'm going to have to re-wash (bags of clothes that the boys don't fit into or that I don't fit into) before putting them back into storage or taking to the DI. I am calmed down now. It took me about 2 hours to get back to "me". Then I was exhausted.

My boys are alive. They are not destroyed and don't know any new words. I keep getting an apology from Archer - "sorry we made the floor wet, mom" - and DarTanion has forgotten completely about the Red Beast that was his angry mom this morning before school.

I guess that my boys will no longer be allowed to take baths together or to "play in the tub" like they were this morning... They will be in and out and only get to get in to be cleaned. Sad. They like playing in the tub.

Last Week...

Apparently I either forgot I owned a Camera or forgot to carry it with me. Something! But I only have a few things to show you this week. Sad, I know... But don't worry. You only missed out on things that didn't involve the kids...

Here is a cute picture of my baby girl. Her hair is getting pretty long, so I put in a few curlers and made her have a split curl on top of her head and all over the back. She's cute. :) Can you believe she is almost a year? I started my Maternity Leave for her a year ago today. My how time flies when you're not at the Homestead... :)

My cute little Robynson

And I took some really cute shots of all 3 kids in the bath, but I don't feel good posting those online. SO, you shall get a short video of Tanion rocking out with his bad self in our Blazer while we waited for Jeremiah to come out of Walgreen's... :) Enjoy!

Marriage...

Unless you are personally friends with me - Mandy - (and possibly even if you are) you won't care about this blog... BUT, I'm gonna post it anyway.

My Jedd is getting married. I say "MY" Jedd because I have some weird claim I staked on this guy when we were 8 years old. He's been one of my longest friends and I truely love him (as a brother - I'm not replacing Jeremiah). He's a great guy and I want him to be happy.

(for Jessie's Bday)

Me and Jessie at Disneyland 2007

For some reason, since I started dating Jeremiah (which actually happened because I CHEATED ON Jedd! but we are all over that!) I have had to meet Jedd's girlfriends and decide if I like them or not. I really don't think it matters to him that I like them or not, but he does it to humor me. :) I like to think I'm more important to him than I really am... Anyway, back to the reason for this post...

HE'S GETTING MARRIED!!!

Jedd and Jessie

My Jedd has been dating Jessie Post for around 3 years now. She is SO wonderful and great and kind and just completely amazing. I couldn't have chosen a better girl for him. Ever. I love this girl basically as much as I love him. But for some reason, it has taken him 3 years to get used to the idea of getting married or to get over something and "just do it!" I am so proud of them... They have been "good kids" and will be getting married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 21st. I was just overwhelmed with happiness for the two of them this afternoon (don't know why, I just was!) and I thought, I'm gonna blog about this. (It's a sad little existence I lead...) SO, if by some random chance they see my blog, I want you both to know -

I love you guys and I wish you complete happiness. :)

I'm going Private... Please send your emails!!!

I saw this story and it sort of freaked me out a bit, so I am going private with my blog. Can you please send your emails to me? We'll be going private in about a week. That way I can still post pictures of my kids and feel "safe" about it...

Halloween Pictures!!!

Hi Everyone! :) FINALLY, you can enjoy the cuteness that is my kids! :) I know how you have been eagerly waiting to see them in their Halloween Costumes... :)

Robynson as Minnie Mouse! :)

Archer as Thomas the Train (missing his hat!)

and of course, Darth Tanion
(with face / hair painted)!

We have celebrated Halloween all week! :) However, I am ashamed to say that I hardly took any pictures... Monday we went Trick-or-Treating at our Family and Friends houses in Heber City. Tuesday we went to our Ward Halloween Party (Arin, you did a great job, by the way). It was really fun. Thursday Archer's class had a cute Halloween Program and Halloween Parade. Friday was Halloween and DarTanion's school's Parade. That afternoon we had a little party at our house and invited some kids from the neighborhood. We had a great week playing dress up. :) Below are some pictures from the little kid party at my house...

The ever-so-lovely Ms. Angela Hartley!

It was really fun. :) And for your enjoyment, I'm adding a quick video of the ONLY song in Archer's school program that he participated in. He didn't sing, but he did the actions... He's on the far left side. :)

If you're a ghost and you know it, say "Boo"

I wish Halloween was every week...
Oh, well...
Here's to next year!
