I'm a Proud Momma :)

My Cute (sneaky) Little Archer Moe :)

Yep... Spiderman Floaty Swimsuit and cowboy boots that are - oh - about 5 or 6 sizes too big. :) He had to 'get dressed' to go outside to help Dad and uncle Jed...

Archer climbing the 'pole' in our bathroom - what, you don't have a pole in your bathroom? :) You can't really tell, but he's almost half way up... and he has made it to the top (ceiling) before...

*****************************************

So, I'm pretty sure I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking "Is she really a proud momma or is this one of those sarcastic proud momma moments". Especially since it involves my odd little 'sneaky' child...

Well, I am REALLY proud of him.

Tonight we went to Jeremiah's parents house. All the adults were upstairs visiting (and we are a LOUD bunch) and watching the Pro Bowl while DarTanion and Draysen were running up and down the hall laughing and screaming at each other. Robyn is passed out on the couch. Archer (we thought) was in Dray's old room. We asked DarTanion to check on him and he said that Archer wasn't there. So Jeremiah went downstairs to check on Archer (thinking he was in the freezer stealing his probably 4th ice cream for the night). Jeremiah looks all over and doesn't see him. Jeremiah heard a noise in Jeremiah's parents bathroom so he went in to stop Archer from playing with WHATEVER he was into this time. (Has he done something like this before? YES.) Anyway...

Jeremiah sees Archer standing on a laundry basket trying to climb out of the open bathroom window (and ready to succeed at it, I might add). Jeremiah asks Archer what he was doing and sees that he was red in the face and upset. He gave Jeremiah a big smile saying "DAD!" and gives him a hug. Archer then explains that he was locked in the bathroom and he couldn't get out and he tried to yell but no one came down to rescue him so he was trying to get out of the bathroom. (Their lever type door knob is tricky - you have to pull it up to open it instead of push it down.)

Archer had dumped the laundry out of the basket, took it over to the window, climbed on top of it, opened the window (and it is a heavy, hard to open window) and had pushed on the screen until it bent. He was in the process of trying to crawl up into the window to hop out when Jeremiah saw him. Archer had no socks or shoes on and had probably just went into the bathroom to go pee and ended up stuck and upset. But did he let that get the best of him? Nope. :) My little guy thought 'Hmmm.... How do I get out of here?'

I gave him lots of hugs and loves and assured him that he wasn't in trouble and that I was happy that he was so smart to try and 'escape' when he was locked in the bathroom. And really, I am. He's so smart and such a good problem solver. He's a mechanical minded kid - he likes to know how and why things work. So this is one of those situations that shows his strength. :)

I love my little guy (well, all of my kids, really but this post is about my Moe). He's certainly a handful. He will sneak outside or into the kitchen at any hour of the day or night. He refuses to sit in his seat in Primary (he prefers under the table, under the chairs, or standing on the chairs in the back of the Primary room). He will do things just to get a reaction.
BUT...
He has a heart of gold. He will share (most of the time) his toys and snacks - unless it's with Robynson... He has a fabulous sense of style. He has a fast thinking mind. He's eager to learn. He likes to snuggle. And he's always cracking me up.

Ah, kids.
Reminding us that life is good.

Boy / Girl Sleep Over!

DarTanion and Alona

DarTanion has had sleep overs before,
but they've always been with boys.
But tonight...
It's a girl. :)

We play with our friends, the Bagley family (no, not really related) probably more than any of our other friends lately and it works out really well because their kids are all close to my kids ages. They have 2 girls (Alona and Abbi) and 2 little boys (Kacen and Jesse). Alona is DarTanion's age. Abbi is Archer's Age. Kacen is between Archer and Robyn's age and Jesse is just a little guy (almost 8 months). DarTanion and Alona play SUPER well together and it's really fun to see. They'll be playing Star Wars one minute and house the next. :)

Well, we were playing with them earlier this week and DarTanion asked if Alona could spend the night. I told him NO because it was a school night but maybe on the weekend. Neither of them forgot and both were really excited that today was Friday (which means it's Sleep Over night!)

So what have we done so far on Sleep Over night? We've had popsicles, played Star Wars, played some Dr. Mario on the Nintendo, played some sort of chase each other around game, listened to the MP3 player and sang church songs together (see below!), the floor is hot lava game, and watched Ben10. Next up is the new episode of Star Wars, The Clone Wars and bedtime.

talking and listening to the mp3 player...
playing Dr. Mario

You know, having a little girl spend the night is nice. It's kind of quiet compared to the other sleep over's we've had!

Robynson's First Haircut

Robyn is two. Well, technically, she is almost 26 months old. And Angie just gave my little girl her very first hair cut. Robyn IS older than either of the boys when they had their first hair cut, but then again, they are boys!

The last few days Jeremiah and I have been saying that she really needed a hair cut because her bangs are always in her eyes - even if I just pulled it back! So I called my friend Angie (who went to school for these things) and she brought over her tools. I painted her toes (purple - she picked it out) while Angie trimmed up her hair and gave my Bobby girl bangs. :) She sat pretty still and was SO good for Angie!!! :) Her hair is really cute, but I'm a little sad because that is one more 1st that is over - and I won't get to do again!

Wanna see how cute
(and GROWN UP!) she looks? :)

New Family Photo

My mom likes to do the 11 * 14 pictures that the Wasatch Wrestling team does for a fund raiser. After all, it's only $10 for a family photo taken by a professional (yet, he's really a pretty standard photographer). So we went on Robynson's birthday and did family pictures again this year.

This year, Archer cried and refused to participate in the original setup because he was 'scared'. Then because we fought with (and tried unsuccessfully to bribe) him for so long, Robyn started to cry and pout. That and she didn't get a nap because we had a birthday party earlier in the day. So after about 10 shots from the photographer, he said that he would see if there was something in there that he could work with. He seemed pretty stressed, but he didn't need to be so rude! The entire family photo (my mom & dad, Kaylee -Colleenia and Sean were at the hospital- and our family) didn't work out so well. It's actually a comical photo, but I don't have it on here... Sorry.

We signed up to pick up the pictures the same time as my mom. I went in saying that I was fine with the 1 picture that was already paid for (the 11*14) and that was it. My mom also said to talk her out of spending tons of money on the pictures. After an hour of 'should I, shouldn't I' conversations with my mom, she bought all 4 packets. I tried to convince her, but that lady wouldn't budge!

So thank you, Mom, for buying my $88 worth of pictures... Oh, and the "free" $10 picture. :) I like it. It turned out cute. :)

Bagley Family Christmas Party

My mom's family came to Heber City for the last Christmas party of 2009, which was held on January 2, 2010! Almost everyone was there (only my Dad, and my cousins James and Justin were missing). Even Sean ventured out of the house to come see everyone! It was great to see everyone and to get to visit and catch up on everyone's busy lives.

Here are some pictures of the crowd...

Some pics of the kids opening gifts...

Tanion got 2 Bakugons (is that how they are spelled?) and some skate boards and Sharkboy and Lava Girl in 3D! Archer got a glow in the dark green basketball and some Lego Duplo's. Robyn got a baby doll and a dressup chest!
We draw names for the kids to exchange gifts with each other. My aunt Rhonda's family had both Kaylee and Robynson. They got the same kind of baby dolls and a Fairy Dress Up box to keep at Grandma Barlow's house and share. It had 3 little outfits and accessories - which was perfect because Colleenia's best friend Patti came over with her little girl Kiah (who is about 4 months older than Robyn and 8 months younger than Kaylee). They all dressed up and were running around the house playing Fairies. :) It was super cute!

My mom was excited to show off her new Kitchen (that Jeremiah has been working on since November!) and to have all of her family together at her house. Of course, she cooked WAY too much food, but that's okay with me because that meant I got to bring home left overs! :)

Thanks for the thoughtful gifts for the kids and for the trip you made to Heber. :) It was great seeing everyone!
