It's been a while...

Well, it's been a while since I posted last... I haven't been posting as often as I used to, but that's because we've been SUPER busy (and because I couldn't find my cords to download my pictures!) We've finished our basement (well, as much as we plan on for a little while) and have moved down there. Jeremiah's brother JED lives upstairs now. We're still (sort of) living in boxes. The kitchen is pretty much put away but the other rooms are still packed with boxes / blankets / toys...

Anyway, here are some pictures of everything else in our lives. (I will post pictures of the basement when its put together a little more!)

ROBYNSON...
She's decided that her name is Bobbi... It's cute when she says it! :)

Dancing with her little boyfriend Landon

And his sister Kiah

She loves when they come over...

Out of the tub...

Super cute!

She wants to potty, so we're trying!

She's been sleeping in her big girl bed!

And she loves it!

But she still likes the couch!

She's decided that ice cream and barbeque sauce are good together...

She wanted to wear Archer's train underwear... :)

SILLY ARCHER MOE...
Now, notice his fashion... He's wearing his long sleeve dinosaur shirt with his kahki pants... Okay, that goes together. But the size 18 month floaty swim suit over it? That was his idea. And he refused to take it off. He decided that he needed to keep his pants on under it, but that he wanted them NOT to show... Take a look at his adventures outside... :)

Yep. Those are Spiderman Snow Boots with his Dino Shirt, Kahki pants that are tucked inside the blue and green floaty swim suit! Jeremiah, his brother Jed and his uncle Nolan (who was doing our carpet) thought this was the best thing EVER! They couldn't stop laughing. :)

The next few pictures were taken the same day... Just later. Notice the Dino Shirt and Kahki pants? :) Oh and the lovely Orange Camo Sun Hat? Yep. His idea. It matched his flippy flops. Darn his great fashion sense! He's so cute, he can pull it off! :)

The boy is in love with riding this bike! He has been sneaking out of the house at all hours of the day and night to ride it. It's fun to see him get so excited about something like that...

Archer's had a 'play hard' kind of lifestyle lately, so when he falls asleep, he's asleep! There's NO waking this child... Notice that in the pictures below...

He fell asleep mid-fruit rollup. I had to pry it out of his mouth because he wouldn't wake up to spit it out to me!
Yep. He's asleep on a coffee table...

DARTANION

So you may be wondering if there are going to be tons of pictures of little Tanion... Well, the answer is no. He's decided that he doesn't like his picture taken any more. So, here are a few that I was able to get...
playing with Archer and Robynson

Goofing off at dinner time with our friends, the Hartley's!
And the picture of the mess afterwards...
(I had JUST cleaned it before they came over... Gotta love kids.)

WARD BARBEQUE
One of the advantages of living in a young ward is the fact that none of us like to cook and we like getting together with others for a BBQ! So, we went to our ward's Back To School Barbeque and let the kids all run around and have fun. There was a bucket full of water and small sponges for the kids to play with. Madness (and fun) ensued...

Our friends Abbi and Alona...

We've had a lot of fun and a lot of moving and a lot of headaches (like our basement utility room flooding on Sunday night!) But we've been surviving and going forward with each new day... :) We love you all and I hope to post more often...Until the next time.....

LOVES!

10 Years, BABY!!!

Jeremiah and I have been married for 10 years in 2 days... Reason I'm doing the post today? Because it's 09-09-09!!! And because we wanted to get married on 9-9-99, but since it was a Thursday, my mom was sure that no one would come... SO, my anniversary is now September 11th. Lovely... (Dang Terrorists!) Really, though - we are probably going to be carpeting / moving to our basement this weekend and I'll be (gasp!) too busy for the computer. :) Don't worry, we're not forgetting it's our Anniversary, just postponing it for a few weeks is all...

Anyway, I had a lot of wonderful pictures of us together on a blog about us last year... You can see those by clicking on this: LAST YEAR'S POST ... Here are some that weren't on last years post or that need to be included because I SAID SO! :)

Our younger selves - on our Vegas Honeymoon...

Our little family of 3...

Our growing family of 4!

Our complete family of 5!!! :)

Jeremiah and Mandy, January 2009

We're really not the romantic kind of couple. Instead, we just love each other for all of our crazy quirks, goofy (and usually off color) jokes, and love for family. We've had a great life together with all the different ups and downs that come with married life, family life, and kids! :) Wouldn't change it for a moment. :) Happy (almost) Anniversary to my hubby! :)

I don't like you, Stupid Pharmacy...

I'm having issues with a Pharmacy.
Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful they exist. I'm thankful for people who dispense medicine responsibly. I'm thankful for Pharmacist knowledge. But with Robynson needing the massive amounts of medicine that she needs, I'm dealing with them more than I would ever care to...

The first time I can think that my dislike of Pharmacy people came when I was pregnant with (I think it was) Archer. And emotional. DarTanion had a HORRIBLE diaper rash. We're talking red and bleeding and oh so sad. His Pediatrician had wrote up a prescription for a special concoction of different things to make a fantastic diaper rash cream that worked wonders on his little bum. I dropped off his prescription on my lunch break from work. I told them I would be back after work to pick it up. I showed up to pick it up at around 7:30pm (Pharmacy closed at 8pm). When I got there, they said - "Oh, we didn't fill it because your insurance doesn't cover it." Yeah. I knew that. I filled it there at that same pharmacy twice before. I told them that I knew that and I didn't care, I just needed the cream. The Pharmacist said it was too late in the day to mix it up and that I could pick it up the next day. I explained that I dropped it off on my lunch break so that it would be ready when I got off work. I also explained that I had filled it before without insurance covering it. And asked why he didn't call me to check if I wanted it filled or not if it was a question. I started getting teary (like I said, pregnant and emotional). He said, just get some Desitin or something and it would be ready in the morning (getting huffy with me). I told him I was going out of town that night, I needed the cream and I was depending on them to do their job and fill the prescription. Tears were there. I said "my baby's bum is bleeding and you don't care" and turned around and left (completely embarrassed) to the store bathroom to cry for about 10 minutes over my poor Tanion's bum and my idiot self for crying over something so silly.

OK. So back to the reason I don't like them right now...

Earlier this week I took one of Robynson's meds that has to be made by a "compounding pharmacy" - to which only one exists in Provo, apparently - to a place called Rock Canyon Pharmacy. When we got it from Primary Children's (whom I trust with my precious baby girl's life), they said this medicine only has a shelf life of 15 days and needs to be refrigerated. Ok. I can do that.... Anyway, when I took it to Rock Canyon, they said, Oh sure, it'll be ready in 20 minutes. So I wasted my time for about 30 minutes (giving them extra time) and went back. They then told me that it would be at least 12:30pm before it was ready (which was 2 more hours!) because they had to make it. I was annoyed but thought "Whatever". I went back at like 3pm (gave them PLENTY of time there!) to pick it up. They gave it to me (and I thought it was weird that it wasn't in the fridge because the one from Primary's says "Keep Refrigerated"... I went out to the car and checked out the contents of my bag. One bottle of medicine, a medicine syringe and a bottle stopper and a small receipt. The warnings / side effects stuff was less than a paragraph. Most people wouldn't care about that. I do. This is HEART MEDICINE people! And I read that stuff. I like to see what side effects I should watch for with medicines. Especially when it comes to my kids. So I go in and ask the Pharmacist (who acted quite annoyed that I asked to speak with him) if I should keep it in the fridge and to point out that the expiration date was one year from the date of it being filled. He rolled his eyes (I swear he did!) and said it didn't matter if I kept it in the fridge or not and that it should hold it's potency for at least 45 days (so why did they put a year?!) Sorry, Rock Canyon, I trust Primary Children's on this one...

So I was frustrated. I told my mom and I told Jeremiah and I decided that I would just tell Robyn's doctor when I called her to see if she could send a prescription for Robyn's other meds to Provo... Well, I called her doctor and she's out of town... I decided since Robyn had one more med that needed a compound Pharmacy that I would have Primary Children's send it to Rock Canyon again (to save a trip to SLC during the holiday traffic) and I would just tell the doctor at Robyn's appt on the 15th. After a few messages to PCMC on the nurses line, my meds were called in to Rock Canyon. They didn't call me, I had to call them. I verified that they had all 3 meds (first call, they said they only received 2 of the meds - second call, they said they had all 3). I asked when I could pick them up and they said around 4pm. I called to check at about 4:30pm. They said 2 were ready, but they still needed to make up the 3rd. I left my phone number and asked them to call me when it was done. I also mentioned (all 3 times I called up to this point) that I only had enough of one specific medicine for one more dose. They said no problem. Jeremiah was on his way home at 5:45pm so I asked him to stop at the Pharmacy so I didn't have to take all 3 kids in with me. When he got to the Pharmacy at 6:30pm (they close at 7pm and are closed til Tuesday because of the holiday), they said that they didn't have enough of one of the medicines to fill it but they would on Tuesday. Guess which med it was? Yep. The one I had only one dose left of... Jeremiah got home and was SO frustrated that he went downstairs and worked in the basement (where he could hit nails with a hammer and get the frustration out). I called Primary Children's Pharmacy to see if they could fill it. They said they could so I gave them the Pharmacy's info so that they could have the Prescription transferred and Jeremiah could pick it up after work today (Saturday). They said they could fill it but they were only open 9am to 5pm today. Jeremiah should barely make it there after work...

So our dilemma last night was how much of this med do we give Robyn. She was supposed to have 5.5ml last night and another 5.5ml this morning. I only had a total of about 7ml. We decided to try and give 3.5ml last night and another 3.5ml this morning. This medicine is to help her Kidney / Liver function properly... You know, nothing major (HA!)... She seems fine, but try being as paranoid as me and not worry all night about whether your daughter is going to go into kidney failure while you sleep...

She slept fine (me, not so much). She seems fine this morning. But it was SO frustrating! Why couldn't they have called me or even told me on the phone one of the several times I called them that they wouldn't be able to fill the prescription!!! I could have transferred it earlier and had Jeremiah pick it up in SLC in the first place!!! GRRR!!! Hopefully everything will be right with the world again after Jeremiah picks up the meds at Primary Children's today...

Anyway, I blog to get my frustrations out. So there is my blog.

I dislike you, Rock Canyon Pharmacy.
I dislike you very much!

Yay DarTanion!

DarTanion's school has a Character Counts assembly once a month. This month's theme was Friendship. Each teacher picks a student for the award. DarTanion was sad last year because he never won an award at the assembly... But today I received a call from the school telling me that he had been chosen for the Friendship Award because he's a good friend to others. :)

Thanks to my neighbor Shiree, I got to go watch DarTanion get his award without Robyn and Archer! :) He was all sorts of confused as to WHY I was at his assembly and all sorts of excited when he found out WHY I was there. :) He's pretty excited that he got an award because he's an 'awesome friend'. :)

So proud of my big guy!
Congrats to DarTanion! :)
