This little birdy...

Yesterday I did some shopping (for the basement) with Jeremiah's mom, Robyn and Archer. DarTanion and Draysen wanted to stay at the house with Twitch and Jeremiah, which was TOTALLY fine with me. They played outside while we were gone and when I came home to drop off two very whiney children (Archer / Robyn), DarTanion told me he caught a real life bird. I thought maybe he found a decoration bird that LOOKED like a real bird. Then he told me it was still alive and opens his hands. Sure enough, DarTanion was holding a real life (and alive) bird! He and Draysen apparently 'caught' it outside.

"It didn't even try to fly away or anything!"
(as per DarTanion)

So I'm guessing they found a little bird that had been attacked and injured by one of the 7 cats that happen to live at our house or our neighbors house. It was a grown bird, but he was tiny!

Draysen and DarTanion wanted to keep him as a pet, so when I went downstairs to see if Jeremiah knew that the boys had a bird, they let him 'fly' behind the TV in the boys room - which happens to sit in a corner! Since the bird couldn't really fly, I think he may have had some assistance from DarTanion and / or Draysen... Jeremiah was able to move the cabinet and the TV and rescue the birdy...

We decided that the birdy missed his family and should go back outside. We let all the boys say goodbye and took the bird outside. All the kids got to pet the bird before Jeremiah put him on the fence. The bird fell off the fence, Draysen was bawling because he wanted to keep the bird as a pet and DarTanion was certain a cat would eat him. So Jeremiah picked up the bird again, took him to a shelf area on the fence, made him a bed and made the kids go inside. Birdy was gone when I got back from picking up Jeremiah's mom from Home Depot. I hope he met his birdy family and not the inside of a cat's belly... The kids were heart broken because their bird didn't come say goodbye and he hasn't came back to visit yet...

LAST WEEK... :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while (again)... Here are some fun things we've done that I've taken pictures of...

DarTanion and Robynson wanted to snuggle with me on the couch last week. (Archer was asleep on the other couch.) While we were snuggling, I pulled out my camera phone and a great big love fest (okay, well, goof off fest) occurred! :)

While trying to get the kids to bed one night, I think I may have broken my middle toe - or at least I bruised it really good... Forgive the picture of my disgusting foot...

DarTanion has an obsession with building 'tents' lately... Here is one of his masterpieces...

DarTanion also had his first day of First Grade! A few of his friends from his Kindergarten class are in his First Grade class, so he's really excited...

Archer had a long day on Friday and fell asleep waiting for my parents to come pick him up... He fell asleep in true BOY fashion... :) HAHA!

Family Trip to the Home Depot (our favorite store lately!) - the night sky was SO pretty...

Some cute pictures of Robynson...

DarTanion proving he's a tough guy...

My kids being quiet and getting along...

My mom remembered to bring the cute "Get Well" card for Robynson from my little cousins. :)

We finally played with our friends the Hartley's after almost a month of no visits... It was wonderful! :) Landon wanted to play with Grandpa (Papa Twitch). He followed him around and even got to wear his hat. :)

And then, there is our faithful, furry, little friend - RatDog. Yep. We still have him. He likes to sleep in the corner of the couch while we watch TV or play in the living room. Where ever we are - that's where he wants to be. :)

Sorry that the updates are few and far between... Hopefully I will be able to post more often. :) Know that life is good and that we love you all! :)

Catch Up!

Well, with everything Robynson taking main stage (see robynhardman.blogspot.com), I haven't been able to keep you informed on everything else at our house.

Before Robyn was in the hospital, I was able to spend some time with my bestests - Angie and Mandy - and my adopted family (the Smith's) at the Heber City Derby. My 'white trash' took over and I totally loved it. I even bought one of those cheap fake hair things! :) My fav part was spending time with friends. My least fav part was Robyn puking in Angie's van. Not so good and the start of something horrible...

While we were at the hospital with Robyn, we had many family, friends, neighbors, ward members and strangers attack our basement (in the best way possible). We have lots of sheet rock hung, lots of mud and tape on the walls, and texture and primer making it's way there! :) YAY! We have the best support system here!!! Love you all!

Then of course there was the hospital stay. The people at Primary Children's were amazing. Check out RobynHardman.Blogspot.com for more details on that. But here are a few pictures of my baby during her stay...

Since we've been back, my boys have been going crazy not having friends over (can't get Robyn sick!) - and because it's not as much fun being home with mom as it is staying at Grandma and Grandpa's and other Grandma and Grandpa's and other Grandma's house! Plus they got to go swimming, play with cousin Dray, jump on the trampoline, ride four-wheelers, get completely and totally spoiled and not have to do chores. Hey Grandma and Grandpa - can I come stay with you? :)

We've bought some school clothes and supplies (school starts next Wednesday for DarTanion and the following Monday for Archer). We've been building forts, we've watched way too much tv and played a lot of XBOX. But the good news is that Robyn seems to be healthy. She takes her medicine without a fight. I don't know for sure that she's 'getting better', but she acts just like she did before her hospital stay.

Here are some random pictures over the last few weeks...

Robynson's little friend Callie came over and played...

Yep. That's about all, I think... Love you all. :)
